Autumn 2011

Along with the start of school came a very busy fall season for our family.  Emily and Andrew both started playing soccer.  There are no co-ed teams for their age group, so they had different practices and different game schedules.  It was a little bit crazy, but it was also a lot of fun.

Andrew loved every minute of his soccer practices and games.  He is fast and aggressive, and loves being a part of the team.  Emily didn't love it quite as much, but at least she tried it!  She made a lot of good friends, and had a good time.

Over labor day weekend we went camping with some of the families in our ward.  We found a beautiful spot, and really had a great time.  There was a small stream going through the campground, and the kids had fun cooling off.
Of course, there were lots of hot dogs that needed to be roasted!

Andrew got a shooting lesson from the big boys--that was probably the highlight of his trip!

Another major milestone this fall was Andrew starting cello lessons.  His teacher is Dr. Bill Wharton from the University of Idaho.  It's so fun to have a little cellist in the family!
