Memorial day memories

We spent Memorial Day weekend in Idaho Falls with my Dad and Diane.  We had beautiful weather, and we packed a lot into that weekend.  We started with a trip to the cemetery with Grandma Risenmay, where we visited Grandpa's grave.  We also saw the graves of many other family members, including my baby sister Sara Jane Risenmay.

Back at the farm, the kids all took turns riding on Grandpa's tractors.  They all loved it, but Andrew couldn't keep the grin off of his face.  For a boy who hates to be dirty, he sure loved riding on those big tractors!

Sarah decided to pass on the tractor ride and draw pictures of the yard instead.
Grandma, Diane, and I stood close by just to make sure that everyone was safe.  I guess you could call us the worriers!

Then the kids got to help Grandpa and Grandpa plant some of their famous corn.  Grandpa dug the holes and the kids dropped in the seeds.  They are so excited to check on that corn when we visit this summer!

On Monday we met Dan, Rachel, and Elisabeth in Pocatello for lunch.  Ellie tried on Grandpa's hat, and I think she liked it!  I also think that he kind of likes her!

On our way home we stopped in Twin Falls and saw the Shoshone falls.  With all of the water that we've had this year they are really spectacular.  We even hiked up top for a better view.

Overall it was a wonderful weekend with lots of fun and lots of memories made.
