The first day of school, 2010

We had a great summer, but the kids were very excited to start school again.  Sarah is in the 5th grade this year, and her teacher is Mrs. McClendon.

 Savannah is in the 2nd grade, and her teacher is Mrs. Longwell. 

Then came the day that I have been looking forward to and dreading for 4 years.  My sweet Emily and Andrew started preschool!

Their teacher is Miss Laura Featherstone, and they love school.  It's amazing how much they grow up when they start associating with other kids their age.  They come home with new words and funny sayings every day, and it's really fun.

The End of Summer 2010

As usual, i'm way behind on my blogging.  It seems like we're just too busy having fun to ever sit down and write about it! 
We finished up the summer with a trip up Millcreek canyon with the Hanson family.  We ate lunch, waded in the stream, and worked on some projects.  The kids had a great time making tie-dye shirts, thanks to Aunt Lenna.

After a great day up the canyon we headed back to Grandma Jane and Grandpa Fred's house for the annual summer violin concert.  Sarah and Savannah had worked really hard learning several new songs, including some fiddle songs.  It was a great concert, and another great visit to Salt Lake.
