Easter weekend (continued)

Ok, I've had some computer problems, and our Easter really didn't end on Saturday. We had a beautiful Easter Sunday. Church was wonderful, as always. Our ward choir performed some beautiful numbers, and the primary children also sang.
After church we got ready for a big Easter dinner with the family. Grandma Jane and Grandpa Freddy came up that night, and we also had Dan and Rachel and Jon and Ysolina here. Sarah and Savannah helped me make little bird nests to decorate our dinner table, and I thought that they turned out pretty cute!

After dinner we enjoyed the nice spring weather by playing red rover, freeze tag, and baby ball in our backyard. It was so nice to be outside!

Grandpa and Grandma gave the kids fishing poles for Easter, and on Monday we went down to o our local pond and tried them out. The kids caught a few fish thanks to the help of Grandpa Fred and Uncle Jon, and it was a lot of fun. We are looking forward to more fun fishing adventures!

Easter weekend

We had such a fun Easter! Our kids are at a great age, and all four of them were excited about the festivities. We started out on Saturday with a neighborhood Easter egg hunt. They were divided into age groups, and it was funny to see the difference. Sarah and Savannah were done in about 30 seconds. The eggs were snatched up quick! Emily and Andrew were still going after about 10 minutes. The kids kind of wandered around and kicked the eggs, but no one was putting them in the baskets! The parents weren't supposed to help, so it was funny to watch. They finally got some eggs, and the candy fest began!

Then we came home and colored eggs. This was truly an exercise in patience. Emmy and Andrew wanted to stir the eggs, which was a little bit scary. Miraculously only one got cracked!

Spring is here!

We're so glad to see the nice weather! The kids have been enjoying the sunshine and playing outdoors. We had a great St. Patrick's day, although Savannah didn't catch a leprechaun. He was just too tricky. She made a great mask, though!

We also enjoyed the good weather by taking a walk down to "our" duck pond and having a picnic. It was a great day, and the ducks enjoyed all of the bread that we fed them. Luckily Andrew didn't fall in this time! (That's another story...)

Now that spring is here we are also taking on a new challenge--potty training the twins! So far we've had lots of accidents, but we've also had some success. We'll keep working on it! Emmy and Andrew like to sit on their potties and "watch a show" while they wait for something to happen. I don't know if that's what the parenting books would recommend, but whatever works!
