Weekend of wonder!

This weekend was a weekend of wonder for the family.

Friday evening, Sarah attended a "Hanna Montana" themed birthday party for a friend. It was a sleep-over party, but we have a strict "no sleep over" rule here, so we let her stay until 9 PM and then brought her home. She was really good about it and said that about half of the girls there had to go home then too. In the car ride home and then once we arrived home, Sarah told us about every little detail of the party with terrific enthusiasm. We wondered if she would ever stop talking!

Savannah wondered if she could catch a leprechaun, so she and I (Chad) gathered up some supplies and created a trap with a fake friend (the Irish Beanie Baby Bear) and a fake Pot 'O Gold inside to lure him in. Savannah's class is making these to catch a pesky little leprechaun that has been causing mischief in her classroom. She said he left little footprints all over the classroom, rearranged the room and dyed the potty water green! Whoa!

Saturday afternoon Savannah attended a "Turtle" themed birthday party for a girl in her primary class. She had a great time. As soon as we picked her up from the party, we headed straight to the Boise Zoo. There is a new giraffe and African plains exhibit open now and the kids were really excited to see it. We all had a great time there and the weather was great! It wasn't hot or cold, but just right! Andrew and Emily ran from exibit to exibit like little tazmanian devils! They have way too much energy! It was pretty funny! Here are the picutres:
